Learn to How to Make Your Own Hammock Chair

In terms of relaxation, most people turn to their hammocks to take a nap and unwind. The  hammock   chair provides more advantages because it allows a person sitting on it to have a conversation or read a book in an upright position. Unlike to ordinary chairs, in which people experience back pain and stiffness, a hammock chair gives more comfort because it is made from softer fabric. A person will only need to hang this swing to one point or a stand, making it a lot easier to set up. A stand will be a good choice for a chair because people will be able to install it in the garden whenever they want to enjoy the outdoors. This also suggests that this swing is portable and handy to carry around anywhere else a person wanted to. So, here are some easy instructions on how to build a fabric hammock chair:

Before anything else, you need to prepare the following materials:

Thick rope
Drill
Swivel eyebolt, three-inch diameter
Two eyebolts, two-inch diameter
Heavy fabric, 40 by 80 inches
Scissors
12 eyelets, three-fourth inch
Wooden board, 3 by 45 inches
Sewing machine

Take the first step in making a  hammock   chair by cutting a 40 by 80-inch length of fabric in half. This should leave you two pieces of evenly cut fabric, making it 40 by 40 inches. Next, fold all the edges of the two fabrics into a one-fourth double seam and sew with a sewing machine. Make sure that you sew the two halves together along its edges and use double stitch on the sewing machine. Fold that seam over and sew it down again with double stitch in order to create a stronger connection of the fabrics as a whole. The halves serve as a cover on the rear and front of the hammock chair.

As for the eyelets, place three of them on either side of the back and seat. Press the eyelets together to attach them to the sides of the hammock chair, and then cut out the fabric from within of the eyelets using scissors. Drill a hole to fit the eyebolts, make it two inches in each end of a 45-inch long piece of wooden board. Screw in the eyebolts and make sure to tighten them with the accompanying nuts. And then, cut a length of thick and strong rope into 12 pieces that are about three yards in length than the height. This is will serve as the tool for hanging the hammock chair. Tie a knot in each of end of the pieces of rope, and then thread the other end of each rope through an eyelet on the chair. The knots this time should be on the rear side of the fabric. Tie the six pieces of rope that are threaded through the eyebolts on the seat of chair. The eyebolts should be secured to the dowel at 36 inches upwards from the seat. And then, tie the first two ropes of the back of hammock chair to the eyebolt at 30 inches up from where you started.  Braid the loose ends of the rope on each side of the hanging beam. Drill a hole for the three-inch swivel eyebolts, and then screw and tighten them. Lastly, tie the braided ends of the rope on the swivel eyebolt.
